Today, I left home to be off on my own. Practically had been for a little while but I was never truly Kemiko as long as I lived with my mother. I was just always Risaki's daughter. But now, I don't live Hyrstmill anymore. I don't live anywhere anymore. I go where the wind takes me. I am Kemiko and today starts my first day as an Adventurer!
Luckily, there was a carriage I could take to Gridania where there's an Adventurer's Guild. Perfect place to start getting work as an Adventurer! I wonder what kind of people I'll end up meeting there! I wonder if there's any cute Lalafell's there?
In the carriage there was this friendly merchant I met drinking what I hoped to be Aqua De Sol. If it was liquor I'd have been disappointed. It's still bright out and he's in public! Seemed like a good man though and we kept each other company. Also in the carriage was what I think to be a couple. A pair of Elezen, male and female. They could've been siblings for all I know, but it didn't seem like it to me.
Big thing about that carriage though? I met a Moogle! Kuplo I think his name was? I forget. I'd seen them before but it was the first time I'd ever spoken to one! That naughty Moogle stole the merchants drink as well!
Once inside Gridania I made my way to the Carline Canopy where I was told holds the Adventurer's Guild in Gridania. Once inside, I met a kind Elezen named Miounne but everyone calls her Mother Miounne. To make things easier I just called her The Mother. Has a better ring to it I feel.
She welcomed me with open arms and was very kind. She explained to me how things worked and how to best earn the trust of people in Gridania. It was all stuff I planned to do anyway. After the introduction and joining the Adventurer's Guild officially, I set off to aid those within Gridania's walls!
I did a few errands it felt like. Transfer goods, letters, orders. Helped a young Hyur girl smile from one of her caring friends. Though, I took a personal route to the Lancer's Guild. A group of people who specialize in the art of using the Spear, my father's favoured weapon! I couldn't pass up the chance.
There were a few people who wanted to see me prove myself to them and slay a few wild beasts in the local area that were causing minor inconveniences. It felt fair to me. After all, if I couldn't handle the local wildlife how would I be able to aid in the real threats?
A dangerous fate shall fall upon you. Your heart must persevere!
