QuietClaude Debussy once said, "The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between." This is a reminder that the spaces, the pauses, and the quiet moments are just as important as the sounds and manifestations we experience.
Most of us are conditioned to fill every minute with noise, distractions, and constant activity. Yet, just as the spaces between the notes create the music, the quiet moments in our lives offer us the calm, clarity, and contentment that we all want and need.
Life, too, offers us these beautiful little opportunities for stillness that we often overlook — like the gaps between certain seasons in our lives, the breaks between daily tasks, and the spaces between our thoughts and the actions we take. It’s in these moments that we have the chance to drop into presence and to connect more deeply with the essence of who we truly are.
So today, instead of trying to fill every moment, allow yourself to rest in the stillness — in the spaces between your thoughts, actions, and busyness of your day.
Let me ask you this: Where in your life are you filling space with unnecessary noise and distractions?
Lotsa Love, Midori ♥

Silence is essential. We need silence, just as much as we need air, just as much as plants need light. If our minds are crowded with words and thoughts, there is no space for us.
- Thich Nhat Hanh
We are more than words and actions. Remembering that is important not to get lost in the mess that is our lives.
Sending a little time on nothing can really help to see things more clearly.
Very True! Thank You for sharing those beautiful reminders, Oopsy. ♥
