Hi All,
My name is Manolis and my Character name on Adamantoise server is Manolis Worldwide. I started with a free trial account yesterday and have already decide to subscribe today to a standard account. The game is stunningly beautiful, and the novice network has been a great place for me as a new player to learn a lot about the game and ask questions to the friendly mentors there.
I plan to level up a lancer initially, and then I think go into Dragoon. I am not sure if there is another morph after that, but I like the idea behind a melee dps with a spear. I started leveling up some leatherworking as well as some mining as both of those professions seem to go well together, but the gathering and crafting grind is crazy with how many components you need from so many different professions. I think that will be a more long term goal to level whereas leveling my main character and going through the MSQ is probably where I will continue to focus upon.
I think its neat that this little social network exists within FXIV and I look forward to hearing all of your stories when I have time to stop in and read. If anyone has any suggestions for me regarding active guilds on the Adamantoise server, I would be all ears for that.

Hi Akiudo. Thanks for the heads up. I actually have been enjoying Lancer and now into Dragoon, but I do understand the slower pace comment.
I actually had a really bad experience in the Novice Network just now. Igni Sixe@Adamantoise kicked me for asking how to buy story skip boosts and defending myself after people made fun of me for it.
Feels kinda cultist to me to be honest. Definitely not a good new player experience for just voicing an opinion contrary to theirs.
