Hailing from Garlemald, Salina was the Daughter of Baltain and Sevara Wiloh. Due to her fathers position as a member of the Emperor's royal guard, her family enjoyed the amenities and comforts that a noble family might be accustomed to. As the years went by and Salina grew, so too did her skill with the bow, being skilled enough to win multiple archery contests. Her skill with the bow caught the attention of the royal guard, eager to recruit her into their ranks when she came of age. Upon learning this she trained doubly hard to ensure that her skills were at the level expected of her . On the day of her 20th birthday, she was recruited into the royal guard. It was during her training that certain aspects of her abilities came to light. Unable to understand how such a young Miqo'te could have the skill of a veteran archer, she was finally asked how she had learnt to use the bow with such skill. she answered that she had learnt by watching a Garlean hero. When questioned further, it was discovered that this hero had died centuries before. This information was brought to the attention of senior garlean officials who decided to act upon it as soon as possible. That night, Salina's father burst into her room, fear in his eyes. A detachment of the 1st Imperial Legion had been sent to apprehend her. This power of hers was both feared and coveted by certain people within the Empire. And so, after being given her bow, with which she had won countless archery contests, as well enough supplies to survive her journey, she was smuggled out of Garlemald via carriadge and made her way to where she might be safe and be able to further her skill with the bow as well as find her place in the world and discover the truth behind her power, Gridania...
