Here is the list of my memorable moments in Endwalker:
1. Best Local Music/Song - hands down "Close in the Distance" in Ultimate Thule. The moment I heard this song in the Launch Trailer, I wanted to get it. I did 66 fates yesterday to get the orchestration scroll. It was pleasure to do the side quests listening to the song in this area as well. As I am writing this post, I am listening to this song.
2. Best Dungeon - Ktisis Hyperboreia. The moment I saw that Emet-Selch, Hythlodaeus and Venat were the trust I could take in, I did not hesitate. I went in with them and loved every moment of it and then learned why Emet-Selch did not recognize me when he met me in Shadowbringers - a memory wipe of our meeting.
3. Memorable Side Quests - There were in Old Shalayan. There is one where we learn how famous and popular Alphinaud was during his stay at Studium as a student. Another one where you meet Papalymo's father.
4. Most shocking moments:
1) Zenos taking over my body. Did not see this coming at all.
2) Taking out Zodiak so early. I wondered where the story would go from that point on.
3) Hydaelyn's plan of avoiding the Final Day - evacuating Etheirys and going to another planet.
4) Hermes wiping memories of Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus
5. Most moving moments:
1) The moment I heard Emet-Selch's voice soon after I arrived in Elpis. Just hearing his voice again made me cry since I didn't expect to see him again.
2) Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus coming to our rescue again when we called and creating a field of Elpis flowers and having all of the Scions back. Also, Emet-Selch's final acknowledgement of us.
3) G'raha's farewell speech - the way the voice actor delivers the lines and the music, it gets me every time. I cried in Shadowbringers and I cried here as well.
4) The scene where Julius receiving a cup of tea from one of the soldiers in Camp Broken Glass
5) Uringer's speech to Loporrits & his meeting with Moenbryda's parent.
6. Funniest moments - Staring contest with Estinien. Also, the Loporrits' version of fashionable outfit for us and some of the Scions. I had a good laugh.
7. Most pleasantly surprised moment:
1) Seeing my Warrior of Light's name in the credit. Wow!
2) Time travel back to Elpis and meeting Hythlodaeus & Venat
3) Visiting The First
4) Meeting Loporrits
5) Gosetsu coming to the rescue as a healer in Physical Range Role Quest
I left out Hyaedlyn's demise in any of the categories because once Zodiak was gone, I felt that Hyaedlyn's job was done. So I thought that she would be taken out one way or another. Her farewell speech was moving but not enough to make me cry since I expected it to happen.
Of course, the best moment was coming back to Old Shalayan with all of the Scions along with the Final Fantasy's theme music. Wow, it felt so good!
I may have left out a few things, but this is the summary of my most memorable moments in Endwalker.
