There is great stuff here but a lot of it is dated. No more HQ fish. In 2023; I went to the Costa del Sol teleport, then to the pier down the coast. I stood at X32.3, Y23.5, and used goby balls. Based on my experience with mooching in other areas I bought way too many. Unless you are very unlucky, 99 will be more than plenty, i have caught 7 marlin on less than 75 bait. I was able to do the double mooch and catch the Marlin with and without patience, but I almost always got a mooch with patience, but without it, the mooch was about 1 in 20 casts. Every time my GP bar filled I would use patience and if I was quick I could get the second mooch in under patience, but it seemed not to matter so long as I got the first mooch started while patience was still in effect. I always used Powerful Hookset here, no light bites. I have mediocre gear, lots of L30 and 40 stuff, I had gathering 210 and Perception 200 when I caught the fish

@Gypsan Willow Thank you! Did the exact same thing, spent 20 min and getting no HQ fish. Used Patience and on the first try got all three fish!

The North Bloodshore fishing hole can be found in Eastern La Noscea at 32,24. It took me like 25 minutes to find this very specific watering hole :/

Spent 20 mins trying to fish this thing up. Got plenty of Herring but the Ogre never mooched for me. I'm an idiot. Used the skill Patience to increase odds of getting HQ Herring and Ogre...got it on the first try.

NQ ogre barracuda doesn't work, i just tried, i think mooching only works if the fish is HQ. Other than that your method is the only one that worked for me.

Need a Mazlaya Marlin, and it's not at all straightforward, prepare to Mooch your way to victory!.....

Head to North Bloodshore, Eastern La Noscea. For bait the Rat Tail works fine. You first need to land a HQ Harbor Herring. With that you'll use Mooch to catch an Ogre Barracuda, and finally Mooch again to catch the Mazlaya Marlin.

**HQ Harbor Herring is needed for the Ogre Barracuda, but I -think- the NQ Ogre will let you catch the Marlin. If it's not working for you, try going for a HQ Ogre**
