SaturdayTo preface this, I decided to pull my old meme generator out of the mothballs and make more use out of it, despite how tedious they are to make. I'm not a meme person, but it's where my head is at right now. So, just a heads-up....Some bad sleep today. Woke up abruptly with my left arm non-functioning, must've slept wrong. Surprisingly I managed to get in a full stream without dozing off part way, which ended up being
Baldur's Gate 2 again. I got started on chapter four, which started when the main bad guy, Jon Irenicus (who seems to be patterned off of
Aribert Heim, the Nazi doctor that experimented on & tortured Jewish people) gave me a tour of his facilities.
I also rescued Imoen as well, although I really wished they used the image of her from the original Baldur's Gate:
And not the second one, where she looks like a spoiled brat.
On the other hand I love the voice of Jon Irenicus (the main bad guy), some unknown voice actor whose name I forgot immediately. They didn't get in some tired old gruff, diabolical sounding evil dude that I've heard tons of times (think Darth Vader or the "Sickness must be purged!" boss, and I'm sure lots of others whose names I can't think of at the moment), or some well-known voice actor (
Steve Blum and
Tony Jay first come to mind), or god forbid, a celebrity, which to me is like hiring cheap immigrant labor (sorry if this doesn't make any sense). So, good call on the casting.

Baldur's Gate 2 again, and I managed to make it to the Jon Irenicus fight, but eventually I ended up having to "cheat-kill" him after dying and reloading 3-4 times, especially since the other 5 characters that allied with me suddenly turned on me, and as I'm playing solo I had no chance, so I had to end the battle quick. I also had to do a series of "click-teleport" cheats in order to get to the next area, since my guy was stuck in place, probably due to the battle not ending the way it was supposed to, presumably because a bunch of stuff was supposed to trigger when Jon's health dropped real low, but since I killed him, the game didn't know what to do.
Sure . . . . . But anyway, after all that I made it to Chapter Five, where you're amongst the fish-people and have to go kill some rebels.
MondayDid my
FF XIV stream today, running my hunts, Pixie beast tribe quests, and a few roulettes. I also joined a FATE party for a while as well.
Got The Vault, a dungeon I can't recall ever healing before, for leveling roulette. So I let the group know:
been a while. Didn't stop
this tank. He not only pulled big, but was doing it stupidly, leaving casters behind that just attacked at a distance, getting free hits on him, making my job harder than it already is. I'm also having to heal DPSers when they try to solo them down since the tank can't be in two places at once. I think I had a fanboy tank:
Amazingly noone died on my watch, but they all came close though, especially the tank.
But at the end of it all I got level 75, so I worked on crafting my level 76 gear, all while dozing off from time to time, apparently due to bad sleep (Pretty dead stream today as well, with only
Keitaro87 being around to chat. It happens.)
