Hi guys,

Finally, I'm done with relic weapon lv50 for PLD. I can say their glowing is very shiny in battle. It's Zodiac Zeta, but Nexus' design and glowing are nice too. Thanks for SB, it's much easier to obtain relic weapons lv50, but still it's a pain, I will note them down here for you guys.


There're 8 levels of lv50 relic weapons:

1. Relic (i80): Well, it's easy, you can google it, do 2 trials and stuffs. Nothing to say about it

2. Zenith (i90): just throw your Relic to Furnace near Gerolt at Hyrsmill with 3 Thavnairian Mist (60 poetics), easy too

3. Atma (i100): The grinding starts from here. You need to do FATEs at 12 required places to get 12 Atmas, the drop rate is random. It will take you 2-4 hours, and you have to EQUIP your Zenith.

4. Animus (i100): Ok, this one is the most painful. You gotta finished 9 books, each book has 3 dungeons + 3 levequests + 3 FATEs + 10 enemies.

The pain is some levequests won't show up in the list, you need to do 1 levequests so the list of levequests in all places will be shuffled again. The trick is: you can google required levequests of next book and accept them to stock up. You have to do 3 levequests per book, so you have 2 shuffle chances of the list. Or just wait till reset for them to shuffle.

The most painful is to do specific FATEs in 3 different places. Some FATEs are special, they're called triggered FATEs, escort FATEs or hidden FATEs which you need to activate the NPC or wait at place of the FATEs before it appeared to prepare. I will tell about those here:

_ Suprise (x26,y18) - Upper la Noscea: Just like its name, you have to wait at that place. Before the FATEs start, you will see a troop of suppliers moving, follow them in middle of the way then the FATEs will suddenly popped out. Enemies will attack the troop from 2 directons. You gotta protect all NPCs and kill all enemies from 2 directions: front and rear. If you don't stand at that place when the FATEs appear, it will last for 30s, because the FATEs fail when NPCs die.

_ The enmity of enemy (x28,y20) - East Shroud: This is double hidden triggered FATEs. On the map, the FATE's name is "Mianne Thousandman". Go there and activate the NPC, then "The enemy of enemy" FATE will pop out. After finishing that FATE, the real FATE "The enmity of enemy" will appear. I waited at East Shroud for 4 hours like an idiot, then look on reddit for help, lol, it's my 1st book.

_ Schism (x25,y16): You need to talk to Storm Private NPC to activate the FATE. Destroy all Tool boxes and kill the big boss.

_ Make it rain (x25, y17) - Outer La Noscea: I have to wait for like 2 hours for it to pop out. You can look for "Schism" FATE and do it to have more chance to get that FATE.

_ Taken (x18,y20) - Southern Thanalan: Well, this one is tricky. You gotta talk to Flame Scout at (x17,y18) to activate "Run like a Flame" FATE. After a few minutes, there's a chance that "Taken" FATE will pop out. I'm lucky to get it at 1st try.

_ Power of Tower (x10,y28) - Coerthas Central Highlands: You have to talk to House Hailenarte guard NPC near Boulder Downs then the FATE will pop out.


About other FATEs, don't trust the FATE's spawn time on google, they're all random.


5. Novus (i110): You have to fuse 75 Materias to Sphere scroll. And you will need 1125 poetics to buy 15 Mysterious map from Aurina (Mor Doha) to collect 75 Alexandrites.

After that, just start to fuse Materias to scroll, start from grade 1. After fusing 4-6 grade 1 Materia, you can move on to grade 2. The costs for Materias is about 20K, thanks for SB, lol. Since it's for Glamours, no points of spending much gil.

6. Nexus (i115): This one is painful too, you have to fill up the energy souls in your weapons. I did 250 runs Ifrit normal unsynced to finish this one. Ifrit normal = feeble lights = 8 points. You need 2000 points to finish. And as unsynced, it's 2-5s per run, but the actual time is 35s per run because of slow loading. So party with your friends, and it takes about 2-3 hours.

After you finish Nexus, you can get 4 quests for next relic weapons straightfully

7. Zodiac Braves (i125): Well, time to throw your weapon and your gil to fire to make a new weapon with new design but not glowing, lol.

You will need: 400K gil + 80K Grand Company seals + 800 Poetics + 8 HQ crafted items (about 350K gil) + do 16 dungeons.
The required item lists seem confused, so I will list all you need here again:

_ Bombard Core x 4: 80K GC seals

_ 4 Scared Spring Water: only available when you get the quest: 800 poetics, buy at Aurina - Mor Doha

_ 1 Bronze Lake Crystal + 1 Allagan Resin + 1 Furite Sand + 1 Brass Kettle = 400K gil. You can google where to buy, easy.

_ 8 HQ items: you should ask for someone to craft for you, they're at Master Recipe I crafting log. If you can't buy the mats on market, go straight buy HQ items instead of the mats, sometimes the prices are similar, lol.

Although my crafting classes are almost lv70 all, I can craft all by myself but still the mats are expensive and rare, so they cost me 350K gil in total.

+ Perfect Mortar HQ - ARM
+ Perfect Pestle HQ- BSM
+ Perfect Vellum HQ - LTW
+ Perfect Pounce HQ - ALC
+ Tailor-made Eel HQ - CUL
+ Perfect Cloth HQ - WVR

On wikipedia, they also have the list of gathering items + desynthesis materials, IGNORE them. You only need it if you can craft items by yourself or you can't find the mats or HQ items on market board.

About 16 dungeons, it's 100% chance to get items, I confirmed it, they fixed the rate after SB I guess. And you don't need to equip Nexus. You can be any class you want. So I used my main class, WHM lv70.

After all done, go back to Jalzhan, in the cutscene, they will ask you to progess, just choose NO 2 times, and you will get Zodiac Braves.

8. Zodiac Zeta (i125): Well, it's about grinding lights in 12 Mahatmas, similar to Nexus, but easier. You need 600 poetics in total and 2-3 hours to farm lv50 unsynced dungeons (should party with a lv70 dps).
You will need to do Rise and Shine quest first, then talk to Remon at Swiftperch again to attach 1st Mahatma to your weapon. Each Mahatma costs 50 poetics and needs 40 points to complete. You will have to complete 12 Mahatmas in order by talking to Remon to obtain next Mahatma.

Then after you finished 12 Mahatmas, go back to Jalzahn, and done.

You now can also go to Drake (near Gerolt) to buy Replica of all relic you've grinded.

(9.) Wait, done? Not yet. You will have to finish "Kettle to the Mettle" quest. It requires 50 Alexandrites (again) and 10 Thavnairian Mist, which is 950 poetics in total, lol. It's just for items and achievement, but you might not want to miss it.

In the photos, the pink white glowing is Nexus, yellow glowing is Zeta. Those are for PLD, but all Nexus and Zeta weapons are great, both in design and glowing, you can google them.

So I start to grind it from 25/8/2017, and it ends today - 1/9/2017, only 1 week. So it's not really hard for you guys to get them. Just need to endure the pain of burning money and waiting for FATEs.....

Relic weapons and glamours are truely END GAME.
