1. Ride your mount. Advantage: you're a lot faster to cross over long distances free of hiding possibilities. It's incredibly comfortable this way.
2. Use the lake right side of the route, to swim along most part. No need to hide, Wawkesa doesn't check water side at all.
Take care though: you need to always see his name plate. If you don't, the system consider you are out of boundaries and quest fails.
A Hint: Twice, Wawkesa stops to take a breath. In those 2 cases, he does NOT check around. No need to hide in panik. It's safe to just stand and wait.
