Combat / Enemy Display Names
In addition to displaying the full names of party members, you can choose to display them with the surname abbreviated, forename abbreviated, or as initials only. This option can be accessed from Character Configuration, Display Name Settings, Others, and then Display Type.
The same menu allows you to change the display of your own name, as well as the names of friends, alliance members, NPCs, and so on.
