The user interface, or UI for short, refers to the various on-screen elements and menus through which a player interacts with the game. The UI in FFXIV can be adjusted in myriad ways to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.

Communication / Novice Network
To see who is taking part in the Novice Network, hover over the sprout icon and select "Novice Network List." The list includes information such as each character's status as a mentor, new adventurer, or returner. It also shows the current number of participants.
Leaving the Novice Network
When certain conditions are met, new adventurers and returning players will be removed from the Novice Network automatically.
It is also possible to leave manually via the sprout icon, but it is not possible to rejoin without an invitation from a mentor.
