If enemy attacks often catch you unawares, customizing target information may help.

After selecting HUD Layout from the System menu, choose "Target Bar" from the Current UI Element dropdown menu. Then click the neighboring gear icon button to access UI Element Settings.

Clicking the box "Display Target Info Independently" will split the target bar into HP, status, and a progress bar, all of which may be adjusted in size and transparency. Customize your HUD to your liking, and stay aware of enemy attacks!
